Hot to do on-site Setting for Ultrasonic Level Sensor

It is normal to find that the ultraonic sensor will has some value error and when this appreas, we should adjust and debug it with re-setting; This article introduce how to set the ultrasonic level meter on-site

1. Displayer value is not the real distance from sensor to liquid level:

It indicates that the sensor do not measure the liquid level correctly and get another distance value from other ojectives such as bulge, step, cross beam, the nozzle or blind area of the extension pipe become larger and so on; please find this objective in the distance which is bing shown in displayer; if the Max liquid level is under this objectives, then can set the blinding area to avoid this problems; if the liquid will cover this objective, then can change the sensor position, tilt the sensor slighly, add the static tube etc...

2. Liquid Level value jumps

If the data jump is less than 125 px, the response speed can be reasonably selected through the menu P05. If the data jump is greater than 125 px, it shows that there are large ripples in power supply and ground gas. Solutions: equip instrument with DC24V power supply alone; add 4 ~ 20mA isolator; sensor has  good connect on the  ground and other methods.

3. There is no value dispaying on the screen:

Please check the supply voltage and switching-on current of the instrument first. The supply voltage must be greater than 18V. The switching current of the instrument is about 3.5mA. Start-up current is greater than 4mA or less than 2.5mA. Instruments must be repaired at the factory.

4. Can not get liquid level value:

Please check whether the measurement range exceeds the Ultrasonic Level stroke range ---(increase the meter range back to the factory),

Whether the probe is vertical or not;

Whether there are bubbles or floating objects in the liquid level (using static wells or adding wave tubes, see 3.4);

When the liquid level is high or close, the sensor can display data, while the low liquid level or long distance away, the meter shows ---(probe power is not Enough, return to the us to replace the probe
